Job summary

Sun-Behavioral-Columbus is seeking an Environmental Services Aide to maintain a clean, safe hospital environment. Responsibilities include cleaning patient rooms, care units, offices, lobbies, rest rooms, and corridors, as well as handling linen and waste with proper safety practices.

The role follows infection prevention protocols, uses approved chemicals and equipment, and reports repairs while supporting quality initiatives.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Performs routine cleaning of patient rooms, care units, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, rest rooms, corridors, elevators and stairways.
• Washes windows, walls, floors, beds, and furniture; handles linen on patient beds.
• Uses appropriate chemicals and supplies; maintains equipment.
• Transports trash and hazardous waste to disposal area; replenishes supplies.
• Reports repairs; follows infection prevention and control practices; supports safety initiatives.

Job description

Position Summary:Responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of the facility to meet state regulations. Responds to requests for spot cleaning areas to ensure personal safety of staff and patients.
