Job summary

The Pines at Utica is a proud affiliate of National Health Care Associates. We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain a clean, healing environment for our residents and guests in a respected long-term care setting. This full-time role offers meaningful work and opportunities to learn and grow.

You will perform daily cleaning, sanitize bathrooms and common areas, restock supplies, and collaborate with a warm team. The competitive hourly pay is $16.75 with benefits and growth potential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least 1 year of work experience in a healthcare environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend English.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Knowledge of cleaning protocols, infection control, fire prevention, and safety measures in long-term care is highly valued but not required; training will be provided.
• Compassionate and empathetic nature.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing common areas and resident rooms.
• Ensure cleanliness and hygiene in bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas.
• Dispose of trash and waste.
• Monitor and restock cleaning supplies as needed.
• Collaborate with other staff members to maintain a safe and organized environment.
• Respond promptly to housekeeping requests from residents and staff.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as buffing machines, vacuums, etc.

What You'll Do

As a Housekeeper, the clean, healing environment that you create will improve the comfort and well-being of our residents, guests, and team. This entry-level position also offers a fantastic opportunity to earn while you learn more about long-term care and its many career opportunities.
