Position Overview

The Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning and maintaining guest rooms, hallways, furnishings, flooring, and work areas. Duties include refilling supplies, sanitizing equipment, making beds, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, and other general cleaning tasks.

Essential Job Functions

1. Make beds.
2. Replenish supplies such as drinking glasses and writing materials.
3. Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other areas.
4. Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies using vacuum cleaners.
5. Dust furniture and equipment.
6. Polish metal fixtures and fittings.
7. Wash walls, ceilings, and woodwork.
8. Wash windows, door panels, and sills.
9. Empty wastebaskets and clean ashtrays.
10. Transport trash and waste to disposal area.
11. Replenish bathroom supplies.
12. Replace light bulbs.
13. Follow safety regulations when using chemicals.
14. Report to scheduled shifts on time, in uniform, and in accordance with company policies.
15. Know and comply with all company policies and procedures related to this role.
16. Greet guests in a friendly and warm manner, taking initiative to enhance guest experience.
