The Courtyard by Marriott Charlottesville UVA Medical Center is seeking a friendly Housekeeper to maintain spotless guest rooms and public areas. The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and pride in delivering exceptional hospitality daily.

Responsibilities include cleaning rooms and corridors, restocking supplies, and upholding health standards. Some high school education is preferred, and no previous experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Carry linens, towels, toilet items, and cleaning supplies, using wheeled carts.
• Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other areas to meet health standards.
• Empty wastebaskets and trash and transport to disposal areas.
• Replenish supplies such as drinking glasses, linens, writing supplies, and bathroom items.
• Keep storage areas and carts clean and tidy.
• Dust and polish furniture and equipment.
• Wash windows, walls, ceilings, and woodwork, waxing and polishing as necessary.
• Hang draperies and dust window blinds.
• Observe precautions to protect hotel and guest property and report damage or theft.
• Remove debris from driveways, garages, and pool areas.
• Sort, count, and store clean linens in linen closets.

Overview

The Housekeeper will perform any combination of cleaning duties to maintain the cleanliness of guest's rooms in an orderly manner. Duties may include making beds, replenishing linens, cleaning rooms and halls, and vacuuming.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Remove debris from driveways, garages, and swimming pool areas.
• Sort, count, and mark clean linens and store them in linen closets.
