Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning duties: sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, bathrooms, beds, trash, windows, restrooms, public areas.
• Perform building maintenance tasks: carpet/hard floors, ceilings, light fixtures, drapery, furniture movement, setup requests.
• Communicate with supervisor, coworkers, and members to ensure tasks meet member requests.
• Report unsafe conditions to Supervisor or Security.
• Keep inventory and update list as needed.
• May be cross-trained in laundry operations and other Environmental Services tasks.

Job Description

General Purpose:

Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment for the members of South Franklin Circle.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform assigned cleaning duties including but not limited to: sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, cleaning member bathrooms, making beds, emptying trash, washing windows, and cleaning of restrooms and public areas.
• Perform a variety of building maintenance tasks including but not limited to: maintenance of carpet and hard floors, cleaning ceilings and light fixtures, hanging drapery, moving furniture, and completing facility set-up requests.
• Communicate with supervisor, coworkers, and members to ensure duties such as furniture moves and set-ups are completed according to the member’s request.
• Report any unsafe condition or situation throughout the facility to the Supervisor or Security.
• Keep track of inventory and update inventory list as needed.
• In addition to these routine duties, may be cross-trained in basic laundry operations and other job classifications within the Environmental Services department.

Minimum Qualifications, Education and Certifications:

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to pass physical examination upon employment and periodically thereafter if so required. Have no handicaps which would preclude the performance of the essential functions outlined in this job description.

Physical demands may include kneeling, climbing ladders, reaching, pushing, manipulating stairs, talking, hearing, standing for extended periods, crouching, stooping, walking, lifting a minimum of 60 pounds, and repetitive motion.
