Ebenezer is hiring a Housekeeper for Village Coop of Cedar Rapids in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The role provides a clean, safe, odor-free environment for residents, staff and visitors, cleaning assigned areas.

The position is part-time, day shift, with 40 hours every two weeks and no weekend work. Ideal candidates have up to 1 year of experience in housekeeping and a focus on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year of previous housekeeping experience is required.
• 1 year of previous housekeeping experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cleans assigned areas of building per schedule and safety guidelines.
• Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, dust surfaces, and sanitize bathrooms.
• Prioritizes tasks and completes them within allotted time frames.
• Assist in cleaning emergency spills as needed and communicate needs.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies and report repairs.

Job Overview

Ebenezer is looking for a Housekeeper to join our senior cooperative team at Village Coop of Cedar Rapids in Cedar Rapids, Iowa! This position provides a clean, safe and odor free environment for residents, staff and visitors. Cleans assigned areas of the building.

• 40 hours every two weeks
• Part time; Day shift
• No weekends

Responsibilities

• Cleans assigned areas of building:
• Performs thorough cleaning of all assigned areas, including vacuums carpets, sweeps and mops hard floor surfaces, dusts and/or damp wipes surfaces, sanitizes bathrooms, cleans all glass windows/mirrors.
• Prioritizes tasks and completes within allotted time.
• Assists in cleaning emergency spills as needed.
• Assumes other responsibilities as assigned.
• Performs job duties safely, using correct body mechanics and personal protective equipment:
• Safely mixes chemicals according to instructions.
• Safely executes housekeeping tasks, such as the proper way to bend, push, pull and lift.
• Demonstrates precautionary work practices for the safety of others in the work areas, such as electric cords, wet floor signs, etc.
• Maintains cleaning equipment and supplies:
• Maintains housekeeping cart and storage area on daily basis.
• Keeps supplies and tools locked at all times.
• Communicates supplies that need to be re-stocked.
• Communicates need for equipment repairs.
