Job summary

Charlestown Retirement Community in Catonsville, MD seeks a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain resident homes and common areas within our gated community. No travel; all work occurs on-site.

You will perform cleaning, operate housekeeping equipment, and support a resident-centered environment. Previous cleaning experience is ideal; strong teamwork and reliability are valued. We offer generous benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Previous experience cleaning in a residential or commercial setting is ideal.
• Ability to safely operate carpet care equipment, hard floor care equipment and trash removal equipment.
• Ability to work independently and as a contributing team member.
• Ability to safely operate Housekeeping vehicles.
• Demonstrate professional and responsive interactions with residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Clean resident homes in Independent Living or Nursing Home areas.
• Maintain community cleanliness using approved equipment.
• Clean public bathrooms, including counters and fixtures.
• Clean lobbies and living areas: vacuum, dust, and empty trash.
• Clean classrooms or common areas as assigned.
• Assist with trash collection and liner replacement.
• Maintain carpeted surfaces through extraction and vacuuming.

Job Description

How you will make an impact

• Cleaning resident’s homes in Independent Living or Resident Rooms in Nursing Home
• Maintaining cleanliness of the Community through the use of specialized equipment.
• Cleaning public bathrooms, including counters, mirrors, sinks, lavatories, fixtures
• Cleaning lobbies/living rooms including vacuuming, high and low dusting, de-cluttering, and removing trash, spot clean walls/windows/switches, baseboards, pictures, lights, HVAC vents.
• Cleaning classrooms, including dusting, vacuuming, white/chalkboards, tables/chairs
• Assisting with the collection, bagging, and disposal of trash, as well as replacing trashcan liners
• Maintaining carpeted surfaces, including extracting, interim cleaning, spotting, drying, and vacuuming.

What you will need
