Job summary

Oakmont Senior Living is seeking a Part Time Housekeeper at Oakmont of Camarillo. The role includes cleaning resident apartments, common areas, and handling laundry, with a friendly, resident-focused approach.

Work is scheduled every Wednesday, 10:00am–4:00pm at 305 Davenport St, Camarillo, CA 93012, with a pay range of $17.00 to $17.50 per hour. This position requires prior housekeeping experience, a minimum age of 18, and strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping or janitorial preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Able to interact compassionately with residents and families.

Responsibilities

• Clean resident apartments as directed.
• Clean public areas and common areas as directed.
• Complete community and resident laundry for residents and the community.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment following established safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with staff.

The Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning all resident apartments, public areas, common areas, and work areas and doing laundry for both the residents and the community in a friendly, courteous manner, in accordance with the company’s mission, vision, and values.

Responsibilities

• Clean all resident apartments, as directed.
• Clean all public areas, common areas, and work areas as directed.
• Complete community and resident laundry and ironing, as assigned.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.

Qualifications

• Prefer prior housekeeping or janitorial experience.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
• Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests.
• For the health and safety of our team members and residents, Oakmont Management Group may require team members to vaccinate, participate in daily screening, surveillance testing, and to wear face coverings and other personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 or other communicable diseases, per regulatory guidelines.
