Pocketbook Agency is looking for an experienced, detail-oriented full-time Housekeeper for a luxury private residence in Burlingame, CA. The ideal candidate is discreet, organized, proactive, and skilled with fine furnishings, marble, hardwood, and specialty surfaces.

You will work with two other housekeepers to maintain the home to the highest standards. This is a long-term opportunity for a polished professional who takes pride in keeping an immaculate home and thrives in a team environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a high-end private home or luxury hotel.
• Discretion and confidentiality in handling personal affairs.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Strong attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Handle daily, weekly, and deep cleaning of all living areas.
• Provide expert care for fine materials (marble, hardwood, specialty fabrics, antiques, silver).
• Manage laundry and ironing, including delicate garments and linens.
• Organize closets and wardrobes.
• Make beds and change luxury linens.
• Manage inventory and restock household supplies.
• Assist with entertaining preparation and post-event cleanup.
• Maintain cleaning schedules and checklists.
• Coordinate with household staff to keep operations running smoothly.

You will work closely with two other housekeepers to maintain the home to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle daily, weekly, and deep cleaning of all living areas
• Provide expert care for fine materials, including marble, hardwood, specialty fabrics, antiques, and silver

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a high-end private home or luxury hotel; laundress experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of proper care for luxury surfaces and materials
• Professional demeanor with excellent discretion and confidentiality
• Able to work both independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Compensation

• $55-65/hr

Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday with flexibility for weekends. Hours are 8:30 to 5:00 or 11:45 to 8:15 depending on the day.
