Job summary

Morningside Ministries is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper at Menger Springs Senior Living Community in Boerne, TX. You will help maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for residents, visitors, and staff.

This role emphasizes infection control, attention to detail, and teamwork within a supportive, caring facility. A High School diploma and prior cleaning experience are preferred; benefits include medical, PTO, mileage stipend, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, and more.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Clean resident rooms including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping and disinfecting surfaces.
• Sanitize resident bathrooms according to infection control standards.
• Clean common areas, hallways, nursing stations, offices, dining areas and restrooms.
• Change bed linens and make beds as assigned.
• Empty trash and biohazard waste containers according to procedures.
• Restock housekeeping supplies and notify supervisor when inventory is low.
• Follow infection prevention, safety and PPE guidelines.
• Respond promptly to spills and other cleaning needs to maintain a safe environment.
• Maintain resident privacy and confidentiality while providing services.
• Perform other housekeeping duties as assigned.

What You'll Do

As a Housekeeper in our Skilled Nursing building, you will help create a clean, safe, sanitary, and comfortable environment for our residents, visitors, and team members. Your work plays an important role in infection prevention and ensuring a high standard of cleanliness throughout the community.

Responsibilities include:

• Cleaning resident rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, and disinfecting surfaces
• Cleaning and sanitizing resident bathrooms according to infection control standards
• Cleaning and disinfecting common areas, hallways, nursing stations, offices, dining areas, and public restrooms
• Changing bed linens and making beds as assigned
• Emptying trash and biohazard waste containers according to established procedures
• Restocking housekeeping supplies and notifying the supervisor when inventory is low
• Following established infection prevention, safety, and OSHA guidelines, including the proper use of cleaning chemicals and personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Responding promptly to spills and other cleaning needs to maintain a safe environment
• Maintaining resident privacy and confidentiality while providing services in resident rooms
• Performing other housekeeping duties as assigned
