Job summary

Upper Crust Food Service is seeking a dedicated housekeeper to maintain cleanliness of bathrooms, living areas, and shared spaces on campus and community sites. You will sanitize surfaces, manage supplies, and ensure a positive client experience while upholding safety standards.

The role requires physical ability to lift and move equipment, and the team emphasizes reliable communication with clients and management. Previous housekeeping or service experience is a plus, with training provided.

Qualifications

• Experience with cleaning appliances and sanitizing procedures.
• Ability to obtain/maintain a current certification program (OSHA/CMI).
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record required.
• Proof of individual auto insurance as required by policy.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize, and organize bathrooms, showers, toilets, sinks, and countertops.
• Vacuum floors, rugs, furniture, and drapes in living spaces and common areas.
• Collect and dispose of trash/recycling to on‑site collection points.
• Wipe, disinfect, and dust all surfaces and mirrors.
• Report repairs/maintenance needs to the manager.
• Follow all cleaning/sanitation procedures and safety rules.
• Manage cleaning supplies and storage; track orders with the partner.
• Communicate daily with clients in a courteous, client‑focused manner.

Housekeepers are responsible for general cleaning, organizing, and sanitizing of common areas.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Clean, sanitize, and organize bathrooms, showers, toilets, sinks, and countertops. Ensure bathroom plumbing fixtures are in working order.
• Vacuum floors, rugs, furniture, and drapes in living room, dining room, hallways, study rooms, executive, and craft rooms.
• Clean up spills and stains with appropriate equipment and products.
• Collect and dispose of trash/recycling to appropriate trash collection on premises.
• Wipe, disinfect, and/or dust all surfaces and mirrors.
• Ensure walls, ceilings, windows, and floors are clean and in state of good repair.
• Provide exceptional customer service -- addressing clients’ needs, requests and concerns in a prompt, professional and courteous manner.
• Notify manager/house director of any necessary repairs or maintenance requests.
• Adhere to all management, client, local and state cleaning, and sanitation procedures/regulations.
• Responsible for organization and storage of all cleaning products and materials (in closet, storage area, and/or cart as designated
• Responsible for checking in orders and resolving delivery conflicts with partner company.
• Communicate with client on a daily basis in a client focused manner

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Working knowledge of cleaning appliances and their operations and proper use of cleaning agents.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a current certificate or equivalent, from a nationally recognized or approved certification program (i.e., OSHA, CMI)
• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to maintain proof of individual auto insurance as required by company safe driver policy.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of customer service experience.
• 1-2 years of previous housekeeping experience.

Special Demands:

• The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
• Required to reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push, and pull items weighing 30 pounds or less.
• Physically able to lift, carry and push a vacuum cleaner or mop for extended periods of time.
• Required to walk and or stand for extended periods of time.
• The position requires the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures.
• This position requires basic computer knowledge including email, word and excel.
