BARNS Barnesville Hospital in Barnesville, OH seeks an Environmental Services Associate to clean patient rooms, exam rooms, and public areas, following established procedures. You will report problems to the supervisor and ensure supplies are stocked in all areas.

The role requires physical ability for cleaning tasks, PPE usage, and adherence to safety regulations. You will maintain equipment and support a clean, safe hospital environment.

Responsabilités

• Inspects and ensures all areas are clean and in good repair; report problems to supervisor.
• Cleans patient rooms, exam rooms, public areas, toilets, procedure rooms, OR rooms, offices and equipment.
• Removes trash from all assigned areas.
• Replenishes towels, toilet paper, and soap across locations.
• Makes beds in discharge rooms and on-call rooms per procedures.
• Maintains equipment in clean, working condition; report issues.
• Moves equipment, furniture, and cleans as assigned.
• Follows all safety and sanitation regulations.

• High school diploma or equivalent

Core Duties and Responsibilities

• Inspects and ensures that all assigned areas are properly cleaned and in good repair; report problems to the supervisor.
• Cleans all assigned areas, including patient rooms, exam rooms, public areas, toilets, procedure rooms, OR rooms, offices and equipment, following established procedures.
• Removes trash from all assigned areas.
• Replenishes paper towels, toilet paper, and soap in all locations of assigned areas to assure adequate supply.
• Makes beds, following established cleaning procedures in all patient discharge rooms and on-call rooms as assigned.
• Maintains assigned equipment in clean, working condition, reporting problems and suggestions to the supervisor.
• Moves equipment, furniture, boxes, wash walls, spot carpets, etc. as assigned.
• Follows all safety and sanitation regulations.

For Facilities With Specialty Accreditation Requirements

• Completion of annual required education related to specialty accreditation as defined by accreditation standards. Training may be completed through CBLs, trainings, In-services, and competency validation.

Physical Requirements

• Must have physical ability to perform cleaning tasks such as mopping, reaching and bending and operating floor equipment such as vacuum cleaners, autoscrubbers, buffers, etc.
• Must meet Department of Labor's Heavy Duty Standard.
• Capable of wearing appropriate PPE for an extended period of time

Working Environment

• Frequent exposure to communicable diseases, body fluids and different types of cleaning chemicals.

Skills And Abilities

• Ability to be scheduled for work based on operational needs of the hospital.
• Possesses the ability to deal tactfully and harmoniously with guests.
• Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of assigned areas, necessary supplies and equipment
• Must be able to read and follow written work assignments.
