Cherokee Town & Country Club in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Housekeeping Houseman who takes pride in a spotless environment for members and guests. You will perform cleaning tasks and maintain rooms and facilities, ensuring towels and supplies are stocked, and report maintenance issues promptly.

This is a full-time hourly role with shifts 11:00 AM–7:00 PM or 3:00 PM–11:00 PM, offering a comprehensive benefits package and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous housekeeping or similar experience required.
• Banquet setup experience preferred.
• Previous work in a hotel or private club setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean windows, vacuum, shampoo carpets, sweep and mop floors.
• Maintain and clean furniture.
• Polish glass and table surfaces.
• Ensure towels are clean and stocked in restrooms and locker rooms.
• Remove trash in restrooms and locker rooms.
• Report damage or maintenance issues to the appropriate department.

Job Summary:

The Housekeeping Houseman at Cherokee Town & Country Club is crucial for the overall flow of the club and its facilities. This position keeps the Club exceptionally clean and well organized. Attention to detail and efficiency are necessary in this role.

Compensation:

$16.50 to $18.50 per hour

Schedule:

Full time hourly. Shifts are 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

Essential Functions of the job:

• Clean windows, vacuum and shampoo carpets, and sweep and mop floors.
• Maintain and clean furniture.
• Polish glass and table surfaces.
• Make sure towels are clean and stocked in restrooms and locker rooms.
• Remove trash in restrooms and locker rooms.
• Report any damage, burned out light bulbs, plumbing issues, and similar problems to the Maintenance or House department.

Requirements

Skills and Aptitude required:

• Knowledge of and familiarity with household cleaning products and chemicals.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and efficiency.
• Excellent verbal communication.
• Ability to stand and move about for prolonged periods of time.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs. at a time without injury.

Education and Experience required:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Previous work experience in housekeeping or a similar position.
• Banquet set up experience is preferred.
• Previous work experience in a hotel or private club setting is preferred.
