Job Title: Household Manager & Family Assistant
Location: Bothell, WA 98011
Employment Type: Part-time | 15-20 hours per week
Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday | Flexible between 9:00 AM and 9:00 PM
Compensation: $38-45/hour, based on experience
Start Date: ASAP
Requirements:
We are a close-knit, neurodivergent family of two living in Bothell - a mom building her own businesses and her curious and talkative 10-year-old son. We recently moved into our home and are still getting everything settled, so there is always something to organize, streamline, or tackle. As a neurodivergent household, we value flexibility, understanding, and approaches that honor different ways of thinking, communicating, and navigating daily life. We are a tech-forward, screen-friendly household where Minecraft and Legos are serious business, and we value systems that make everyday life easier. We appreciate people who understand that not every household - or every day - fits neatly into a traditional structure.
Mom is looking for someone who can become a trusted, capable extension of the household and help take the day-to-day details off her plate. That might mean keeping meals and groceries organized, staying on top of appointments and errands, maintaining the home, or creating systems that make everything easier to manage. We value autonomy, flexibility, open communication, and genuine connection, and we're looking for someone who can step in, see what needs to be done, and take ownership. The right person will enjoy bringing calm and order to a busy household while helping create more space for mom to focus on her work and spend meaningful time with her son.
The ideal candidate is grounded, adaptable, and genuinely comfortable supporting a neurodivergent household. You understand executive functioning challenges and bring patience, creativity, and practical problem-solving without judgment. You naturally see what needs to happen next — whether that's tackling an overflowing to-do list, creating a better organizational system, or resetting the kitchen — and you take initiative without needing every task spelled out. You are warm and engaging with children while also knowing when to give a 10-year-old space to be himself. You communicate clearly and kindly, read the room well, and can move naturally between being a supportive presence and quietly handling things behind the scenes.
You also take real ownership of the practical side of household management. Meal planning and simple food prep, groceries, laundry, dishes, vacuuming, fridge clean-outs, organizing, and periodic decluttering are all things you're happy to manage from start to finish. You're tech-savvy, organized, and understand that good systems should make life easier and more sustainable. Most importantly, you're looking for a long-term role where you can become a trusted part of the family's rhythm and create the breathing room that allows mom to focus on her business and spend meaningful, uninterrupted time with her son.
