About Our Family

We are a busy family navigating an exciting transition as we split our time between two homes, with Dallas becoming our primary base over time. Both parents have demanding careers, and with young children at home, we are looking for thoughtful support that helps our household feel calm, organized, and ready no matter what season of life we are in.

As we continue settling into our home and building the long-term systems and support team around us, we are looking for someone who takes genuine pride in creating order and making a home run smoothly. The goal is to reduce the daily mental load, create sustainable systems, and give us more time and energy to focus on our family and careers.

We appreciate someone who naturally notices what needs attention, takes ownership, and understands the rhythm of a well-run home. This may look like maintaining clear surfaces, keeping household systems organized, preparing the home before and after travel, managing the small details that are easy to overlook, and helping transitions between homes feel seamless.

We are looking for a long-term partner who will grow with our family and become someone we trust deeply in our home. The right person will be comfortable working independently, communicating proactively through digital tools like text and photos, and treating our home with the same care and attention they would bring to their own.

Who You Are / What We're Looking For

You are an experienced household professional who understands what it takes to keep a home running smoothly. You naturally notice what needs attention, create practical systems that work, and take pride in maintaining an organized, welcoming environment. You are comfortable balancing daily household routines with larger projects, from keeping spaces reset and organized to coordinating vendors, managing supplies, and helping the home feel prepared for whatever comes next.

You are proactive, resourceful, and confident working independently. You do not need a detailed task list to stay productive; instead, you use good judgment, prioritize what matters most, and follow through. When something falls outside your expertise, you know how to find the right solution, whether that means coordinating with a vendor, researching options, or bringing in additional support.

You are organized by nature and appreciate thoughtful systems, but you are also flexible and collaborative. You understand that every household has its own rhythms and preferences, and you enjoy learning how a home operates while bringing your own expertise and ideas to make things run more efficiently.

You communicate clearly and comfortably through digital tools, including sending updates, sharing photos, and keeping the household informed. You are friendly and approachable while also respecting that focus and discretion matter in a professional home environment.

Most importantly, you are looking for a long‑term opportunity where you can become a trusted partner in the household. Experience with private families, household management, organization, or family support is a strong plus, and comfort providing occasional light childcare support is welcome.

Please note: Spanish language proficiency is a plus, as the family would love to continue supporting their children’s conversational Spanish skills, but it is not a requirement for the position.

Key Responsibilities

Household Organization & Maintenance

  • Daily resets: tidying surfaces, countertops, floors, common areas, couches, and shared spaces throughout the home
  • Kitchen maintenance: dishwasher, fridge organization, and overall kitchen order
  • Trash and recycling management, including putting cans out and bringing them in
  • Mail and package handling: receive, unpack, photograph, and flag items for returns as needed; break down boxes
  • Seasonal swaps: decor, bedding, and clothing rotation
  • Indoor plant care, with the opportunity to grow the household collection over time
  • Routine home maintenance checks: batteries, smoke detectors, light bulbs, AC/furnace filters
  • Garage, mudroom, and entryway upkeep and refresh
  • Donation coordination and drop-offs

Laundry & Linens

  • Wash, fold, and organize laundry for the full household
  • Ironing, steaming, and special garment care (including hang-dry items and delicates)
  • Linen rotation and linen closet organization
  • Keep laundry areas tidy and well stocked

Inventory & Errands

  • Restock pantry, fridge, and household supplies; manage running supply lists
  • Coordinate and receive household orders (Amazon, Costco, Target); assist with online ordering and delivery management
  • Run specific in-person errands as needed (e.g., specialty grocery items)
  • Handle returns, dry cleaning, and occasional gift shopping
  • Open and close the home between visits, ensuring the house is ready and restocked each time the family arrives

Vendor & Property Oversight

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for cleaners, contractors, and landscapers
  • Research and coordinate repairs, maintenance, and vendor quotes
  • Seasonal property maintenance, including outdoor spaces, sprinklers, and winterizing tasks; maintain a consistent eye on the home during extended absences
  • Supplement the existing cleaning crew with periodic deep cleans (fridge, oven, baseboards, etc.)

Vehicle Upkeep

  • Keep family vehicles clean, organized, and stocked
  • Fuel, schedule maintenance, and coordinate detailing as needed
  • Track registration and insurance documentation

Meal Support

  • Batch prep 2–3 meals per week; healthy, kid-conscious cooking preferred
  • Assist with kitchen cleanup and maintenance
  • Grocery shopping assistance: managing delivery orders, putting away groceries, and handling in-store runs as needed
  • Prep snacks and school lunches when childcare coverage requires it

Family Support

  • Occasional light supervision and back-up childcare support
  • Kid‑related errands and logistics as needed
  • Willingness to assist with packing and unpacking for family travel

Administrative & Personal Assistant Support

  • Research events, camps, activities, and appointments, presenting options and coordinating registrations or bookings as needed.
  • Assist with calendar coordination, scheduling, reminders, and follow‑up.
  • During weeks when the family is away, advance research and planning projects, organize household records, and coordinate upcoming services so priorities continue moving forward.
  • Provide additional administrative and planning support during weeks when the family is away, helping maintain consistent working hours while keeping household priorities moving forward.
