The House Supervisor provides patient care clinical coordination 24-hours a day and serves as the on-site representative of nursing leadership, department directors and hospital administration during the off shifts and weekends. Provides nursing leadership, mentoring, feedback, and clinical support to nurses working on Med/Surg, OB, SCU, ER, and OR. Coordinates the clinical care of patients and ensures continuity of care by supervising operational aspects of patient care units in collaboration with department directors and Chief Nursing Officer.
BSN (or other bachelor’s degree) or an equivalent combination of
education and experience preferred. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
Two years clinical experience as RN staff nurse preferred. Experience in Med/Surg, ER, SCU and OB preferred.
Current unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse from the State of Iowa.
Able to maintain basic nursing competency in Med/Surg, ER, OB, SCU in order to offer hands on support to nursing staff. Ability to interpret telemetry required
