The Sierra Vista Hospital location is a 171-bed psychiatric care facility located in south Sacramento. It is a full-service mental health facility and a center of support for patients and their families. Since 1986, we have offered our clinical expertise to those suffering from emotional, behavioral and addiction problems.
The House Supervisor assumes responsibility for complete facility operations during the assigned shift. This includes supervising nursing and clinical staff, ensuring that patient care is provided in an accurate and timely manner. This position has responsibility for the supervision of care of patients ranging in age from adolescents through geriatrics.
Note: The following responsibilities are included in the role of PM House Supervisor/RN for the Nursing Department.
Education: Degree from an accredited program in professional nursing is required; Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Experience: A minimum of three (3) years of hospital experience; preferably in a psychiatric facility.
Supervisory/managerial Experience: Preferred.
Licensure: Currently licensed to practice by the State Board of Nursing. Valid driver’s license preferred.
Additional Requirements: Must pass a medication administration exam before administering medications. CPR certification, and successful completion of the hospital’s designated behavioral and physical management training program, including de-escalation and appropriate use of seclusion and restraint, required prior to assisting in the procedures. Overtime and flexible hours may be required.
