The House Supervisor assumes responsibility for complete facility operations during the assigned shift. This includes supervising nursing and clinical staff, ensuring that patient care is provided in an accurate and timely manner. This position has responsibility for the supervision of care patients.
Hours: 7pm to 7am, three shifts per week, rotating weekends
Education Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing required or equivalent combination of education and experience in psychiatric nursing management, bachelor’s degree highly preferred.
Experience A minimum of one (1) year experience in a psychiatric nursing facility. Three (3) years’ experience in a psychiatric facility preferred. Supervisory experience preferred. Thorough knowledge of The Joint Commission and state and federal regulatory requirements preferred.
Licensure Currently licensed to practice by the Texas State Board of Nursing.
Additional Requirements CPR certification and training in appropriate use of seclusion and restraints (HWC) prior to on the unit orientation.
