Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing is required.
• 5+ years of experience in clinical practice preferred.
• Nursing leadership and staff coaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise house-wide functions during designated shift.
• Make decisions regarding patient care and staff management per policies.
• Prioritize clinical rounds and assess staff needs; provide assistance as needed.
• Assign nursing staff to areas to meet patient care needs and adjust staffing as required.
• Act as authority in the absence of nursing management and respond in emergencies.
• Support adherence to policies, regulatory standards, and accreditation requirements.
• Coordinate admissions/discharges to optimize throughput and maintain quality care.
• Foster interdisciplinary collaboration and patient-centered care across departments.
• Represent employee health issues to unit charge nurses and supervisors.
• Engage in disaster preparedness activities with regulatory agencies as appropriate.
• Participate in service excellence initiatives and patient experience improvements.
• Provide coaching and feedback to improve staff performance and engagement.
