Job summary

Saint Clare's Health in New Jersey is hiring a House Supervisor RN to oversee nursing operations on the night shift. This role reports to hospital leadership and ensures quality patient care, staffing coverage, and efficient patient flow across departments.

The successful candidate will hold an active RN license, BLS and ACLS, and have prior supervisory experience in acute care. This full-time position offers comprehensive benefits within the Prime Healthcare network.

Qualifications

• Current and valid license as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• ACLS certificate within 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• One year (1) year prior experience as a Supervisor preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years acute care nursing experience
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• The House Supervisor is an RN who assumes administrative responsibility for the management of all department service functions on his/her shift.
• Makes frequent rounds to monitor delivery of care, oversee quality of services and direct patient care activities as needed.
• Directly supervises, provides support to and communicates with all staff house-wide.
• In the absence of Hospital Administrative staff, the administrative scope and responsibility is extended to all services within the hospital.
• Ensures efficient operations and patient flow throughout the hospital.
• Performs direct patient care, only as needed, within the scope of practice and competence.
• Ensures all temporary agency personnel are deployed and oriented in compliance with hospital policy.
• Assist medical staff with scheduling after hour procedures and calling in stand-by call staff members.
• Enhances the patient/family experience through supportive interactions and explanations of hospital policies as needed.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $45.42 to $55.13. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
