House Manager/Family Assistant

Position Details: Live-Out.
Location: East White Plains, NY.
Days: Tue - Sat.
Hours: 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM.
Compensation: $37 to $45 per Hour.

Seeking an experienced House Manager/Family Assistant with child care experience. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and professional. Seeking a long-term House Manager/Family Assistant who is dedicated and takes ownership of the position. There are three (3) children in the home.
Main Work Duties:
- Coordinate with outside vendor for twice a week housekeeping, oversee cleaning team.
- Light daily cleaning of kitchen, including wiping down appliances, counters, sinks and cabinet doors.
- Coordinate with contractors vendors for upkeep of the house, remodeling projects (plumbers, HVAC, electricians).
- Create and oversee work list and ensure tasks are completed.
- Maintain inventory of all supplies and groceries and replenish to ensure family has what they need, and nothing is depleted.
- Remove garbage and recycling, putting out receptacles on collection day.
- Wash, fold, and put away clothes.
- Change and wash bed and bath linens, make the beds for when there are guests.
- General tidying of rooms (decluttering, light organizing).
- Run errands for the family (drop off packages at FedEx/UPS, put away delivered groceries, put away dry cleaning).
- Assist with packing and unpacking.
- Occasional care of the children.
- Occasional driving the family.
- Occasional cooking.
Required Qualities:
- Diligent.
- Thorough.
- Organized.
- Must able to communicate with vendors to oversee upkeep of the house.
- Warm.
- Safety-conscious.
- Experienced with children of different ages.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3+ solid years of related experience working in a private home.
- Excellent references from both current and previous employers.
- Ability to work independently and with a team.
- Must speak and be able to communicate well in English.
- Authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
- Valid Driver's license and clean driving record.
The Perfect Candidate:
The perfect candidate is strong at house management but also able to do light housekeeping in the days that the cleaners are not on site, or childcare if needed. It would help to have someone who can cook, clean, keep an eye on the children. Someone to oversee housekeeping and keep remodeling and home maintenance moving.
