Basic Scope/Purpose:
Perform all related tasks needed to ensure the assigned building or account is cleaned to the standards of ServiceMaster and the customer task list.
Description of Duties:
- Follow the task list for your assigned building or position, completing tasks within the allotted time. (See General Task List Below)
- Maintain a clean, neat, and organized janitorial closet.
- Keep equipment clean and supplies organized.
- Obtain and maintain passing scores on janitorial Quality Assurance inspections.
- Communicate regularly with your supervisor and division manager to ensure you have necessary items and meet customer expectations.
- Communicate with your customer at your assigned facility as needed.
- Maintain a safe work environment by using wet floor signs when mopping, labeling spray bottles and containers, and securing your work area.
- Secure your building or area upon completing your tasks.
- General Task List:
- Spot clean entrance door glass
- Vacuum carpet and runners
- Dry and damp mop hard surface floors
- Empty trash and replace liners as needed
- Dust ledges and horizontal surfaces
- Dust all desks (cleared areas) and chairs
- Sanitize telephones
- Spot clean walls for fingerprints and smudges
- Vacuum carpeted traffic areas
- Vacuum wall-to-wall carpet
- High and low dusting of horizontal surfaces
- Sanitize tables (damp wipe)
- Clean and sanitize sinks, counters, and microwave exterior
- Refill soap and paper towel dispensers
- Arrange furniture as needed
- Replace all disposable items: toilet paper, hand towels, soap
- Clean and sanitize sinks, toilets, and urinals
- Dry and damp mop tile floors
- Notify building contact of irregularities and maintenance needs
- Turn off lights (except designated ones), secure building, and set alarm
