Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or currently enrolled in GED program within six months.
• Must be nineteen years of age or older.
• Good verbal communication skills required (skills test will be administered).
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to work in dusty areas or on high floors; occasional kneeling, climbing and crawling.
• Must pass job interview, including guest service audition.
• Must be able to stand and walk for entire shift.
• Must work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Must operate standard office equipment (phones, computers, etc.).
• Must be in good physical condition and pass a fitness test.
• Willing to work odd or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Willing to travel and participate in training as required.
• Must have Tribal Gaming License (or ability to obtain and maintain).
• Must be willing to work in a smoke/secondary smoke environment.

Responsibilities

• Greets guests and projects a positive image in corridors.
• Delivers guests’ requested items and restocks supplies.
• Vacuums corridors daily and spot-cleans carpets as needed.
• Transports trash from room attendant carts and handles linen/towels.
• Loads glassware into washers and recovers lost-and-found items.
• Keeps corridors and stairwells clean and free from dust and debris.
• Disseminates information to guests about property and promotions.
• Reports maintenance issues and performs routine vacuum maintenance.
• Keeps storage areas and carts clean and orderly.
• Adheres to safety rules and uses proper equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Projects a positive image
• Greets all guests passing in corridors
• Delivers guests’ requested items
• Vacuums corridors daily, spotting carpets as necessary
• Re-stocks supplies in housekeeping storage closets
• Administers dirty and clean linen and terry items
• Loads glassware into washers as needed
• Transports trash from room attendant’s carts
• Recovers lost-and-found items
• Keeps corridors and stairwells free from dust and debris
• Disseminates information to guests regarding the property, hotel, promotions, etc.
• Reports maintenance issues
• Performs routine maintenance on vacuum cleaner
• Keeps storage areas and carts clean and orderly
• Works safe by observing safety rules and wearing proper equipment
• Other duties & responsibilities as assigned

Job Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED required or currently enrolled and successfully complete a GED program within six (6) months from start date as a condition of continued employment
• Must be nineteen (19) years of age or older- required
• Good verbal communication skills required (skills test will be administered)- required
• Must be able to lift and carry up to seventy-five (75) lbs
• Ability to work in areas containing dust or on high floor; occasionally kneels, climbs and crawls to work in difficult positions
• Must successfully pass job interview, including a guest service audition
• Must be able to stand and walk for entire shift
• Must be able to work effectively in a fast paced, high volume environment
• Must be able to operate standard office equipment - phones, computers, etc.
• Must be in good physical condition and able to pass a physical fitness test
• Willing and able to work odd or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Willing to travel and participate in training as recommended or required
