Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts is seeking a dedicated housekeeper for Residence Inn Birmingham Downtown at UAB. The role focuses on maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests, associates, and vendors.

The successful candidate will participate in linen stocking, cleaning, and routine room attendant support with a strong emphasis on teamwork. Ideal applicants will have hotel or hospitality experience, a professional appearance, and excellent guest communication skills.

Qualifications

• Hotel experience preferred.
• Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
• Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
• Can communicate well with guests.
• Team player and willingness to pitch in.
• Ability to lift, bend, stoop, walk, push or pull heavy equipment and stand for extended periods.
• Lifting up to 100 lbs with/without accommodations.
• Follow supervisor instructions and adapt communication style as needed.

Responsibilities

• Stock linen closets with amenities and supplies for room attendants.
• Empty room attendant carts of soiled linen and trash.
• Clean/spot walls, doors, mirrors, and elevator doors in guest areas.
• Vacuum, sweep, and mop hallways, stairwells, and foyers.
• Flip mattresses and move furniture as directed by supervisor.
• Maintain regular attendance and reliability.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Overview

Maintain the building to ensure safe and clean experience for hotel guests, associates and vendors.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Stock linen closets with amenities and supplies for room attendants; may include taking supplies directly to room attendants.
• Empty room attendant carts of soiled linen and trash.
• Clean and remove spots from corridor walls and doors. Polish and clean mirrors, room numbers on guest room doors, and elevator doors.
• Vacuum, sweep, and/or mop hallways, stairwells, vending areas, and foyers.
• Flip mattresses and move furniture as assigned by supervisor.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
• Perform any other job related duties as assigned.

• Ability to comprehend and follow instructions from supervisor.
