Job summary

McAlister's in Orlando, FL is seeking a Shift Leader to oversee restaurant operations when management is not on duty, guiding the team to maintain food quality, service, cleanliness, and safety.

You will address guest concerns, supplier issues, and team needs, escalating to management when necessary while delivering the McAlister's Touch and a warm, welcoming guest experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in casual restaurant industry.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• ServSafe license preferred or obtainable per State mandates.
• Strong leadership and goal-setting abilities.
• Availability for evenings, holidays, and weekends.
• Maintain a well-groomed appearance and follow uniform standards.
• Remain calm in a fast-paced atmosphere with strong organization.
• Display a positive and outwardly friendly attitude towards guests (McAlister's Touch).
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Able to withstand the physical demands of a restaurant.

Requirements

• A minimum of 1 year’s experience in the Casual Restaurant industry is required.
• High School Diploma or GED, preferred.
• Servsafe License preferred, or able to obtain a State-approved license – must be maintained per State Mandates.
• Strong knowledge of team leadership, developing goals and action plans for personal/professional growth.
• Availability to work within open hours (e.g. evenings, holidays, weekends).
• Maintain a well-groomed appearance and follow uniform standards.
• Remain calm in a fast-paced atmosphere and demonstrate a high level of organization, attention to detail, and a sense of urgency.
• Display a positive and outwardly friendly attitude towards all guests – Live the McAlister’s Touch.
