Mativ Holdings, Inc. in Munising, MI is seeking an entry-level Hourly Production role to support operations with on‑the‑job training. You will join a collaborative, high‑achievement culture near Lake Superior, with year‑round recreation nearby.

The position offers a probationary rate of $26.52 per hour for 90 days, then $31.28 per hour for entry level positions, and opportunities to learn multiple jobs within the operations team while contributing to safe, efficient production.

Qualifications

• Be 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, 5–7 days per week, up to 16‑hour shifts, when required.
• Ability to safely lift/move weights up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to safely work in a fast‑paced environment using high‑speed moving equipment while wearing required PPE.
• Ability to safely operate manual and powered material handling equipment such as hand dolly, chain fall, chain hoist, electric hoist, tractor, and truck.
• Proven record of maintaining acceptable attendance.
• Ability to safely bend, kneel, squat, stoop, maintain balance, climb, and work on elevated platforms.
• Ability to read, record data, and understand/follow procedures and instructions.
• Ability to work in extreme temperatures (hot and cold) when necessary.
• Industrial work experience is preferred but not required.

Responsabilités

DESCRIPTION

The Munising, MI facility is currently seeking applicants for Hourly Production. This is an entry level role where the candidate will be provided with on‑the‑job training to support operations. The ideal candidate has the attitude, initiative, and skills to support Mativ's collaborative, high‑achievement culture. Munising is located on the southern shore of Lake Superior and is surrounded by protective hillsides and picturesque Munising Bay. You will be able to discover year‑round recreational opportunities such as biking, hiking, boating, ice fishing, skiing, and snowmobiling. The hourly probationary rate of $26.52 applies for the first 90 days of employment. After the probationary period, the hourly rate begins at $31.28 for entry level positions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Safety – Follow all safety rules, wear required personal protective equipment, and place the safety of self and others above all. Support the safety program and ensure safe work practices are followed.
• Operations – Initially learn several different jobs including Roll Wrap, Lan Wrap, or Rewinder Helper. Responsibilities include: accuracy with computer entries, core tags and labels; wrapping of rolls per customer specifications; assisting the operations crews; and learning and thoroughly understanding the process and equipment being used.
• Quality – Assist in maintaining the customer's quality standards for all products produced.
