JOB TITLE:

Hourly Pooled - WPM Engineering Technician

JOB PURPOSE:

Assist in the engineering operation of Wyoming Public Media.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Install, maintain, and repair audio, broadcast, and office equipment. Monitor radio site functionality. Occasionally travel to radio sites.

ABOUT WYOMING PUBLIC MEDIA:

Wyoming Public Media is a statewide public media network operating four radio channels and one digital service. It broadcasts local programming as well as NPR national and BBC global productions. Formats include talk, news, music, culture, and entertainment. The network's main studio is in Knight Hall, on the UW campus in Laramie Wyoming.

REMOTE WORK ELIGIBILITY:

This position provides vital support to campus customers and requires the successful candidate be available to work on campus.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Basic knowledge of broadcast, audio, and computer equipment.
  • Ability to learn and comprehend FCC guidelines.
  • Valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record (MVR) compliant with the University Vehicle Use Policy.
  • Impeccable reliability, focus, ability to problem-solve and to take direction.
  • Ability to travel in Wyoming.

    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Computer networking experience.
