SummaryThe role of the Maintenance Planner is to improve workforce productivity and work quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning and coordination of manpower, parts and material, and equipment access.
Reporting to the senior-level Maintenance Planner or the Maintenance Manager and maintaining liaison between Production and Maintenance, this position is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordination of all planned maintenance work performed on the plant site. This position is also responsible for ensuring records and files essential to meaningful analysis and reporting are compliant.
Principal and Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesFurther technical education beyond high school or vocational training.
Experience RequirementsMinimum Perdue Maintenance A Mechanic technical and competency knowledge; demonstrated leadership and influential behaviors; and proven oral and written communication skills.
Thorough working knowledge of Maintenance Software such as Maximo, SAP, etc. in order to plan and schedule work and thorough working knowledge of parts room activities and procedures.
Technical SkillsThorough working knowledge of Maintenance Software System(s); MS products; specifically spreadsheet savvy; and working knowledge of Purchasing system and protocol.
Environmental Factors and Physical RequirementsWork environment includes, but is not limited to, a normal office environment and construction site as well as climate extremes found in a poultry processing operation and a wastewater treatment facility. This position requires an associate to have the ability to move throughout the complex and all facilities. This position requires an associate to be able to be exposed to all chemicals found in a poultry processing operation and a wastewater treatment facility. This associate must wear and/or use protective safety equipment required for the job and for various locations. This associate must be able to travel to remote facilities and/or offices for meetings.
