Job summary

New Life Ranch is seeking staff to help maintain a clean, welcoming environment for retreat guests. This role focuses on cleaning cabins, meeting spaces, and motel units, and assisting with Lost and Found under the Hospitality Manager's guidance.

You'll work part-time hours on weekdays, evenings, and weekends, staying on site to keep cabins stocked with coffee, dishes, and bedding, and to respond to housekeeping requests during shifts.

Qualifications

• Cleaning experience or willingness to assist with housekeeping.
• Ability to clean cabins, meeting spaces, motels, and restrooms.
• Ability to manage Lost and Found with Hospitality Manager.

About the role:

We are looking for staff that are interested in helping accomplish the mission of New Life Ranch through serving our guests by helping to create a clean and comfortable place for them to stay . Staff in this role will assist in cleaning the buildings (cabins, meeting spaces, and motel units) in preparation for retreat guests as well as assisting in managing Lost and Found . We have part-time hours available on weekdays, evenings, and weekends.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the cleaning of buildings (cabins, meeting spaces, motels, public restrooms) in preparation for retreat guests.


• Assist in cleaning and organizing all housekeeping closets around camp.


• Assist in managing Lost and Found and coordinate with Hospitality Manager in getting items returned to guests.


• Assist the Hospitality Manager with supplies, including restocking and maintaining cleaning caddies.


• Keeping up with laundry throughout camp including towels, linens, cleaning rags, etc. and making sure that all housekeeping closets are fully stocked.


• Emptying and replacing outdoor trash cans when needed.


• Prepare cabins, motel units, and meeting spaces for retreats.


• Ensure motel units are an inviting and comfortable environment. This includes well stocked coffee supplies, dishes, and bedding.


• Assist in projects and respond to calls related to housekeeping during your shift.

You must be able to:

• Work on your feet for long periods of times.


• Squat or kneel to clean toilets, showers, baseboards, etc.


• Stomach cleaning up bodily fluids. We will be cleaning toilets and showers a lot, and accidents happen.


• On occasion work a night or weekend shift.
