Job summary

Hanna Imports in Wilmington, NC is seeking an Hourly Detailer to keep our vehicles clean, polished, and ready for delivery or display. You will work closely with sales and service to ensure vehicle readiness and a strong first impression for customers.

We offer competitive pay from $15.00 to $18.00 hourly, with weekend flexibility and a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in vehicle detailing is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays as needed.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive cleaning and detailing of vehicles including washing, waxing, vacuuming, and interior cleaning.
• Inspect vehicles for cosmetic defects or issues and report them to management.
• Maintain detailing equipment and supplies, ensuring they are clean, organized, and in good condition.
• Coordinate with sales and service departments to prioritize detailing schedules and meet deadlines.
• Adhere to all safety and environmental regulations related to cleaning products and procedures.

About the Role:

The Hourly Detailer plays a crucial role in maintaining the appearance and cleanliness of vehicles within a retail automotive environment. This position is responsible for ensuring that every vehicle is thoroughly cleaned, polished, and prepared to meet high-quality standards before delivery to customers or display on the lot. The Hourly Detailer works closely with sales and service teams to coordinate vehicle readiness and support overall customer satisfaction. Ultimately, this position contributes directly to the positive first impression customers have of the dealership and its inventory.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in vehicle detailing or a similar role preferred but not required.
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays as needed.
• Physical ability to perform manual labor including standing for extended periods, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a retail automotive environment.
• Knowledge of various cleaning products and techniques specific to automotive detailing.
• Strong time management skills and ability to work independently.
• Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance and care.
• Customer service experience or skills.
