Job summary

Griswold Home Care Blair County is seeking experienced in-home caregivers to provide compassionate care for older adults in clients' homes. You will support daily living activities, build trusting relationships, and work with an office team to ensure high-quality care.

We offer competitive wages of $16–$20/hour based on experience, with incentives. Shift options include day, evening, and overnight, and opportunities for overtime and growth within a supportive local office network.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience caring for older adults.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Authorized to work in the United States; valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and meaningful engagement.
• Assist with activities of daily living and personal care.
• Prepare meals and assist with meal planning.
• Light housekeeping and upkeep of client spaces.
• Provide medication reminders and assist with safety.
• Assist with mobility and transportation to appointments or activities.
• Follow individualized care plans and report changes to the office.

• Have 2+ years of experience caring for older adults in a home care or facility setting

What You'll Do

As an in-home caregiver, you'll help older adults remain safe, comfortable, and independent at home.

Depending on the client's needs, responsibilities may include:

• Companionship and meaningful engagement


• Personal care and assistance with activities of daily living


• Meal preparation


• Light housekeeping


• Medication reminders


• Mobility and safety assistance


• Transportation to appointments, errands, or activities

Schedule

We are currently seeking caregivers interested in daytime, evening, and overnight shifts.

Most shifts fall between:

8:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.

Occasional overnight opportunities may also be available.

Schedules vary based on client needs, so please apply only if you are comfortable committing to the shifts you accept.

Requirements

Required:

• 2+ years of experience caring for older adults


• High School Diploma or GED


• Authorized to work in the United States


• Valid driver's license


• Reliable personal vehicle


• Valid car insurance
  
• Ability to successfully complete required background and employment screenings


• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills


• Ability to work independently


• Three strong professional references

Preferred:

• Previous in-home caregiving experience


• Experience with personal care


• Experience working with clients with dementia or other age-related conditions


• Experience communicating with families and care teams
