Job summary

Belk is seeking a Beauty Advisor in Charlotte to deliver exceptional customer service, perform makeup applications, and provide personalized recommendations. This hourly role emphasizes clienteling, promotions, and a seamless omnichannel experience in a fast-paced store environment.

You will build relationships, support promotions, and maintain merchandising while adapting to busy retail shifts, including nights and weekends. Experience with cosmetics and a strong service mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Customer service oriented with a drive to achieve store objectives.
• Self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision in a deadline-driven environment.
• Strong communication and tech comfort with mobile devices.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Able to move around store areas and lift up to 40 lbs.
• Experience assisting customers with makeup application and skincare.
• Maintain required licenses/certifications for cosmetology or related demos.

Responsibilities

• Drive store objectives and key metrics with ownership and initiative.
• Create memorable experiences through relationships with team, vendors, customers, and community.
• Build loyalty via personalized consultations and clienteling tools.
• Execute promotions, events, and outreach to maximize sales.
• Use selling tools and digital devices for omnichannel inventory and product details.
• Leverage training resources to build product knowledge and suggestive selling.
• Merchandise and replenish products; maintain visual standards per directives.
• Contribute to a positive store culture and share knowledge with teammates.
• Be adaptable; assist with selling and store operations as needed.
• Support fulfillment and asset protection processes, maintaining safety.
