Job summary

Houck Services, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support on-site operations. You will load, unload and organize stock, coordinate deliveries, and ensure equipment is maintained and ready for use.

This role requires a High School Diploma or GED, DOT certification for driving, and the ability to lift up to 100 pounds. It is a full-time, on-site position in Greencastle, Indiana with a safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• DOT certification for driving is required.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds on occasion.
• Experience operating forklifts and warehouse equipment is preferred.
• Comfortable coordinating with drivers, estimators, and crew leads.

Responsibilities

• Purchase materials needed for office sanitation and jobsites.
• Coordinate deliveries of materials to jobsites with crews.
• Organize stock and maintain inventory.
• Receive, unload and place incoming inventory items.
• Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
• Drive trucks when needed; DOT certification required.
• Verify and process supplier invoices for payment.
• Keep warehouse clean and organized.

Summary/Objective

Performs an array of duties including ordering, receiving, and processing incoming stock and materials and managing, organizing, and retrieving stock and other materials. Responsible for supplying all projects with equipment and material on site and on time.Supervises fleet of vehicles, supervises equipment maintenance and repairs.Load and unload trucks.

Essential Functions:

• Purchase materials needed for office sanitation and jobsites.
• Work with estimators, project managers, superintendents and crews to coordinate deliveries of materials to jobsites.
• Coordinate equipment rentals as needed.
• Organize stock and maintain inventory.
• Inspect products for defects and damage.
• Examine ingoing and outgoing shipments.
• Organize warehouse space and rotate material per expiration dates.
• Receive, unload and place incoming inventory items.
• Verify and approve supplier invoices for payment.
• Keep the warehouse clean and organized.
• Operates forklifts, hand trucks, pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment.
• Receives instructions from supervisor.
• Abides by all OSHA and Houck safety guidelines.
• Works in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
• Performs minor/routine maintenance at the corporate office and warehouse facility.
• Coordinate and direct outside vendors when used at the facility.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Functions can take place indoors or outdoors, sometimes in high, precarious places with fumes and/or airborne particles. The standard work environment has loud to very loud noise levels associated with various equipment, coworkers, and phone conversations. The employee works around hazardous situations, materials, and equipment.

Physical Demands
