Job summary

Triangle Environmental in Plainfield, IL, is seeking a skilled Hotside Technician to service and repair commercial kitchen hot-side equipment, including fryers, ovens, heat lamps, warming tables, steam tables, grills and ranges.

You will diagnose electrical, gas, mechanical, and temperature-control issues, perform preventive maintenance, and support refrigeration/HVAC roles as needed. A HS diploma and Universal EPA certification are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or GED) preferred.
• Commercial kitchen hot-side service and repair experience required.
• Universal EPA Certification required.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with electrical, gas, mechanical, and temperature-control systems.
• Refrigeration experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, repair, and maintain commercial kitchen hot-side equipment (fryers, ovens, heat lamps, warming tables, steam tables, grills, ranges).
• Troubleshoot electrical, gas, mechanical, thermostatic, and control-related issues to restore operation.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, adjustments, and checks to reduce downtime.
• Repair or replace components such as elements, thermostats, switches, ignition systems, burners, controls, motors, valves, wiring.
• Support refrigeration, HVAC, and related equipment repairs when qualified.

Triangle Environmental is actively seeking a Hotside Technician to join their "Band of Brothers" team in Plainfield, Illinois. Triangle Environmental is a 40-year-old open shop commercial HVAC and refrigeration service, repair, and maintenance contractor with a stellar stable of repeat customers.

This role is ideal for a skilled service technician with hands-on experience repairing and maintaining commercial kitchen hot-side equipment such as fryers, ovens, heat lamps, warming tables, steam tables, grills, ranges, and related foodservice equipment.

Schedule:

• Full-time
• Monday to Friday
• 35-45 hours per week
• 8-hour shift

The right candidate will have:

• High School Diploma (or GED) preferred

• Repair or replace components such as elements, thermostats, switches, ignition systems, burners, controls, motors, valves, wiring, and related parts
• Support refrigeration, HVAC, and other related commercial equipment repairs when experience and certification allow
