Job Overview
Under the guidance of the Senior Banquet Sous Chef, the Banquet Sous Chef will coordinate, plan, and supervise the production, plating, and presentation of food at all banquet events. Responsibilities include ensuring cost-effectiveness, safety, and exceeding customer expectations, as well as attracting future business. The role involves overseeing daily banquet food production, assisting in menu creation, and recommending procedural improvements.

Education/Formal Training
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience
1-2 years of relevant experience in a related position.
Knowledge/Skills
Thorough knowledge of catering and food service; ability to follow policies and procedures; management skills; strong communication skills; ability to hear timers and communicate effectively; excellent vision; and literacy to read and understand BEOs.
Physical Demands
Requires lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying items; bending; mobility; and standing for extended periods. Ability to work in varying temperatures, including freezer and hot kitchen environments. Must be able to hear timers and communicate with staff effectively.
