Job summary

Colonial Williamsburg Foundation is seeking an Upholstery Maintenance Worker to support room attendants, clean and prepare guest rooms, and assist with housekeeping tasks in the historic Williamsburg area.

The role requires knowledge of carpet and upholstery care, floor maintenance, and the use of commercial cleaning equipment. Physical stamina and weekend/holiday availability are required for this on-site position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience operating commercial cleaning equipment is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain upholstered furniture, carpets, drapery and curtains in guest rooms and public spaces.
• Assist Room Attendants to clean and prepare guest rooms.
• Assist Public Space Attendants and Housekeeping Attendants with related duties as requested.
• Conduct bi-weekly supply inventories and maintain cleaning standards.
