Building Maintenance Systems, Inc. in Harbor Point is seeking a Hotel Senior Maintenance Technician to perform building operations, preventive maintenance, and service ticket responses. You will work with the property team to ensure a safe environment for tenants and visitors.

The role handles electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other trades, plus BMS/EMS management, record-keeping, and parts procurement. A flexible schedule including weekends/holidays is required, with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years maintaining equipment and systems in hotels or commercial buildings.
• Flexible availability for a rotational schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Experience with HVAC equipment and preventive/corrective maintenance.
• Ability to operate and troubleshoot building systems and to work with building management software.
• Must have reliable transportation and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform building and systems inspections and modify building systems as needed.
• Complete preventive and corrective maintenance requests promptly and professionally.
• Coordinate with vendors to complete contracted work orders to meet expectations.
• Maintain records and evaluations and provide recommendations for maintenance operations.
• Identify and help order parts, materials, and supplies as needed.
• Manage Building Management System (BMS/EMS) as directed by Lead/Chief Engineer.
• Maintain a clean engineering shop and general appearance; follow safety rules.
• Perform related duties as required.

Hotel Senior Maintenance Technician Job Summary:

The Hotel Senior Maintenance Technician performs building operations, customer service, and community enhancement. We’re looking for someone who will complete or assist with tasks related to electrical, plumbing, air conditioning, heating, and other trades within a hotel. Daily duties will include working with the property management team to perform preventive maintenance, respond to service tickets, and provide a safe environment for building tenants and visitors.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

• $30 - $32 per hour based on experience

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform building and systems inspections, making necessary modifications to building systems
• Complete Preventive and Corrective Maintenance requests professionally
• Work with vendors to complete contracted work orders to meet expectations
• Maintain records, reports, and evaluations, and provide recommendations regarding necessary building maintenance operations
• Identify and help to order parts, materials, equipment, and supplies that are needed
• Manage Building Management System (BMS) / Energy Management System (EMS) as directed by Lead/Chief Engineer
• Maintain a clean engineering shop, mechanical plant, mechanical rooms, and general appearance
• Follow all safety rules and regulations
• Perform related work as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3 - 5 years maintaining equipment and systems in hotels and / or commercial buildings
• Must have flexible availability to work a rotational schedule that explicitly includes weekends, evenings, and holidays. 24/7/365 hotel operations depend on senior technicians who are reliable during peak operating times, high-occupancy weekends, and key holiday periods.
• Possesses advanced mechanical skills and abilities with HVAC equipment
• Advanced experience and skills in operating, troubleshooting, maintaining, installing, and repairing equipment
• Advanced technology skills necessary to manage work order applications on mobile phone and learn to operate Building Automation Systems
• High School diploma or equivalent, and must be able to communicate effectively in English
• Occasionally work overtime to perform necessary repairs or maintenance that are necessary to complete during off-hours
• Must meet the occupation requirements, such as lifting 50 lbs., walking distances, kneeling for 1 hour, and climbing ladders.
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must possess a CFC Universal certification
