Job summary

Loews Miami Beach Hotel is seeking a vigilant Security Officer to protect guests, team members and property on-site in South Beach. You will patrol the premises, respond to incidents, and maintain security logs to ensure a safe, worry-free guest experience.

The role requires calm decision-making, strong observation, and clear communication; prior hotel security experience is preferred and flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel security or related field experience preferred (1–3 years).
• Ability to stay calm and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Capable of operating security vehicles or transport as needed.
• Basic first-aid certification or ability to provide first aid preferred.
• High school diploma required; associate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control access to team member entrances to ensure a secure environment.
• Conduct regular hotel patrols to identify safety hazards and protect guests.
• Respond to emergencies per established procedures to safeguard lives.
• Maintain logs for visitor access and package removal for compliance.
• Inspect incoming/outgoing packages to ensure facility integrity.
• Document incidents and actions taken for transparency.
