Job summary

Loews Miami Beach Hotel is seeking a vigilant Security Officer to safeguard guests, team members and property at a premier oceanfront resort in South Beach. You will patrol the property, monitor access, respond to incidents with calm, decisive action, and help ensure a seamless guest experience.

The role requires 1–3 years in hotel security, ability to operate CCTV and security equipment, and a high school diploma (associate degree preferred).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; an associate's degree in criminal justice, security management, or related field is preferred.
• 1–3 years of hotel security experience preferred.
• Ability to operate departmental vehicles, including electric transport vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control access to team member entrances and the property.
• Perform regular patrols to identify and address safety hazards.
• Respond to emergencies following established procedures.
• Maintain detailed logs for visitor access and packages.
• Inspect packages and enforce security protocols.
• Document security incidents and actions taken.
• Enforce hotel policies and maintain a safe environment for guests and staff.
• Interact professionally with guests and team members to resolve concerns.
• Monitor CCTV and report suspicious activities promptly.
• Coordinate with management on safety-related maintenance and issues.
• Manage lost and found items and assist in guest satisfaction.
• Support health and safety training initiatives and attend mandatory trainings.
