Job summary

Hampton is seeking a detail-oriented housekeeping team member to clean guest rooms and common areas to exacting standards. The role requires using approved chemicals, restocking amenities, making beds, and reporting maintenance or guest concerns with courtesy and efficiency.

You will maintain security of guest room keys and cooperate with leadership to ensure a seamless guest experience. This on-site position offers opportunities to cross-train in related housekeeping areas as needed.

Responsibilities

• Report to work on time in proper uniform with nametag.
• Use approved cleaning chemicals per OSHA and hotel rules.
• Clean guest rooms in priority order.
• Transport cart with supplies to the assigned room.
• Empty trash containers and ashtrays.
• Replace towels and linens as specified.
• Clean bathrooms: remove dirt, soap buildup and hair.
• Restock toiletries and bathroom amenities.
• Make beds with clean linen.
• Dust and polish furniture.
• Realign furniture to floor plan.
• Open drawers and remove items left by guests.
• Check under beds and furniture for debris.
• Inspect furniture for damage and report.
• Dust, vacuum upholstery.
• Dust pictures, frames, mirrors.
• Wipe windows, frames, ledges.
• Clean lighting fixtures and switches.
• Ensure security of guest room keys.
• Handle guest complaints per procedures.
• Cross-train in other housekeeping areas if needed.
• Support management by following policy.
