Job summary

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent; or up to six months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to read and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences
• Must be able to communicate with guests and recognize situations requiring supervisory attention
• Regularly stand, walk, lift up to 25-30 pounds and frequently up to 50 pounds; mobility required

Responsibilities

• Clean guest rooms and hallway areas according to hotel procedures
• Stock cart with guest room supplies at beginning and end of shifts
• Greet guests and assist with needs
• Replace linens and replenish amenities in guest rooms
• Empty wastebaskets and maintain cleanliness of corridors
• Arrange furnishings and room accessories as directed
• Ensure door is closed and room is locked after housekeeping
• Report damages or hazards to supervision
• Return items found to Housekeeping with details
• Handle keys signed out for the shift
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor
