Embassy Suites by Hilton Dulles Airport, Herndon, VA is hiring a Restaurant Server to work in Marty's Bar & Grille. The role delivers food and beverages with welcoming, professional service, while adhering to health regulations and local liquor laws. Shifts can be AM or PM, with compensation at $14 per hour plus tips.

Required: 1+ year of guest service experience, strong English, and basic health and safety knowledge. Certifications like TIPS are preferred or obtainable.

Qualifications

• Must have one or more years of previous guest service experience.
• Excellent customer service, attention to detail, and ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to speak, understand, and write English.
• Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Prefer one or more years of serving experience in a fast-paced restaurant.

Responsibilities

• Guest Service: provide friendly, courteous service and establish rapport with guests.
• Serving Duties: take orders accurately, upsell menu items, follow health regulations and cash handling procedures.
• Side Work: complete cleaning, stocking supplies, and maintaining stations.
• Helps control expenses: manage cash handling and minimize waste.
• Works Safely: maintain a clean, safe work area and follow emergency procedures.
• Team collaboration: assist bartender, coordinate with other departments to meet guest needs.
