Hotel Operations Supervisor - The Strat (Las Vegas, NV)

Description

Summary: As the Hotel Supervisor, your responsibilities include supervising, coordinating, and directing daily activities of the Front Desk, VIP Services, Rooms Control, Bell/Baggage, and Valet. Additionally, you provide support to division leadership in the administration of each department, aiding in maximizing guest satisfaction and team member productivity.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Train and supervise team members on their assigned shifts
  • Supervise the operation of VIP Services, Rooms Control, Bell/Baggage, and Valet to ensure efficiency and high-quality service to guests
  • Maintain effective controls to ensure adherence to department guidelines and recommend changes to maximize service, efficiency, and security of company funds
  • Investigate and correct shortages and errors
  • Collaborate with hotel leadership on promotions, special events, and sales groups to maximize room and block rate utilization
  • Recommend room rate adjustments as required
  • Investigate and resolve guest complaints and concerns, following up to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Maintain credit policies and take appropriate actions for overdue accounts or collection issues
  • Ensure compliance with gaming laws, internal controls, policies, and regulations such as Title 31
  • Provide outstanding guest service promptly, meeting company standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
Qualifications
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience or transferable skills in a similar environment preferred
  • Previous Front Desk or VIP Services experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of LMS preferred
  • Ability to prioritize and work independently
  • Effective organization and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both in groups and one-on-one
  • Experience delivering high-level guest service
  • Proficiency with computer systems
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s or Associate degree preferred
  • Fluent in English, written and verbal
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required work cards and verify right to work in the U.S.

  • Occasional pushing/pulling up to 25 lbs
  • Occasional lifting/carrying up to 25 lbs at various levels

  • Effective communication using speech, radios, and phones
  • Good hearing and vision, including color discrimination and dexterity
