Position Summary

Performing any of the Front Desk, PBX, and accounting functions to ensure late night auditing and balancing while providing professional and efficient guest service.

Job Requirements
  • Greeting arriving and departing guests and assisting in check-in and check-out procedures.
  • Providing information to guests regarding the hotel, casino, local services, attractions, and entertainment options.
  • Responding to guest complaints or issues in a hospitable and efficient manner to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Handling cash/credit card transactions and balancing procedures at the end of each shift.
  • Safeguarding monetary banks.
  • Ensuring all room rates and guest information are correct by balancing registration data with the Micros FDM System.
  • Logging discrepancies and informing supervisors.
  • Completing reports neatly and thoroughly at shift end for smooth transition to the next day.
  • Reconciling books and records nightly, preparing accounting statements and reports, and ensuring proper documentation.
  • Familiarity with hotel and casino services and maintaining a professional image.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned by management.
Education/Experience/Skills

High school diploma or equivalent. Experience in night audit, front desk, reservations, or hospitality preferred. Ability to use computer systems accurately. Team player with a positive attitude.

Equipment Used

PBX phone system, keyboard, fax/copier, key card machine, cash register, 10-key calculator.

Physical and Mental Demands

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, exercise good judgment, and communicate effectively. Physical requirements include standing, walking, sitting, using hands, reaching, talking, and hearing. Occasionally lifting over 25 pounds. Ability to focus on monitors for extended periods and communicate over noise-filled environments.

Working Conditions

Ability to work in a noisy, crowded casino environment.
