Job summary

DelMonte Hotel Group is seeking an experienced Hotel Maintenance associate to ensure the upkeep of the building, equipment and all physical assets. You will perform repairs, preventative maintenance, and safety checks to deliver a quality guest and colleague experience.

Your duties include log readings, assisting with seasonal outdoor work, and coordinating with Front Desk on room status changes while maintaining fire/life-safety systems knowledge and a safe shuttle operation for guests.

Qualifications

• 3 to 6 months related experience in engineering and maintenance or related area.
• One year certificate from college or technical school; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to work as part of a team and complete tasks individually.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced work environment.
• Solid organizational, time-management and prioritization skills.
• Exceptional customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Trouble shoot equipment, systems and facilities and make appropriate repairs.
• Perform preventative maintenance in guest rooms and on equipment including laundry equipment, HVAC units, ice machines, spa equipment, fire extinguishers and plumbing.
• Perform swimming pool and spa maintenance duties according to manufacturer specifications and local Health Department Regulations.
• Assist with outdoor seasonal work including lawn mowing and snow removal.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the engineering shop and related areas.
• Log readings from meters and gauges and communicate room status changes with Front Desk.
• Maintain knowledge of fire/safety systems and handle emergencies involving them.
• Assist other departments with moving furniture and unloading/storing supplies as needed.
• Provide safe transportation to guests using the hotel shuttle vehicle.
