Job summary

Radisson Hotel Cedar Rapids in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to keep guest rooms, public areas, and building systems safe and well‑maintained.

You’ll perform preventative maintenance, respond to requests, troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks, and support renovations and deep cleaning while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance experience preferred, ideally in hospitality, apartment, or commercial building maintenance.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repair techniques.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, bend, and walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance throughout the hotel
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and team members
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Complete room maintenance including painting, drywall repair, fixture replacement, and minor carpentry
• Maintain pools, elevators, and other hotel equipment as required
• Conduct routine property inspections and identify maintenance needs
• Assist with renovations, projects, and deep cleaning efforts
• Ensure compliance with all safety standards and company policies
• Maintain organized maintenance records and work orders
