Job summary

Vista Host is seeking a Hotel Maintenance Technician in West Yellowstone, MT to keep guestrooms, public areas, systems, and grounds safe and welcoming. Employee housing is available for eligible team members.

The role performs preventative maintenance, responds to service requests, and supports ongoing property improvements, working with housekeeping to ensure rooms are ready and available for sale. This position requires reliability and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel maintenance, facilities maintenance, construction, or skilled trades experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building maintenance systems.
• Ability to safely operate maintenance tools and equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a variety of indoor and outdoor environments.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
• Valid driver's license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance throughout the hotel, including guestrooms, public areas, mechanical spaces, and exterior grounds.
• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and general maintenance issues.
• Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests and service calls.
• Conduct routine inspections of building systems and equipment to identify maintenance needs.
• Maintain swimming pool, waterslide, hot tub, and related equipment in accordance with safety standards and operating procedures.
• Assist with room renovations, deep cleaning projects, and property improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and preventative maintenance records.
• Partner with housekeeping and front office teams to ensure guestrooms are maintained and available for sale.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with snow removal, grounds maintenance, and seasonal property needs as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
