Job summary

Vista Host Hotels Management & Development seeks a Hotel Maintenance Technician to care for guestrooms, public spaces, and grounds. You will perform preventative maintenance, respond to service requests, and help with property improvements to ensure a safe, welcoming environment for guests and team members.

Ideal candidates have experience with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building systems, and can lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel maintenance, facilities maintenance, construction, or skilled trades.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and building systems.
• Ability to safely operate maintenance tools and equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varied indoor/outdoor environments.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Valid driver's license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance in guestrooms, public areas, mechanical spaces, and exterior grounds.
• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and general maintenance issues.
• Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests and service calls.
• Conduct routine inspections of building systems and equipment to identify maintenance needs.
• Maintain swimming pool, waterslide, hot tub, and related equipment.
• Assist with room renovations, deep cleaning projects, and property improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and preventative maintenance records.
• Partner with housekeeping and front office teams to ensure guestrooms are maintained and available for sale.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with snow removal, grounds maintenance, and seasonal property needs as required.
