Job summary

Element by Marriott North Charleston is seeking a highly motivated Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical systems, prioritize work orders, and proactively inspect the property. The role includes servicing the pool, performing scheduled preventative maintenance, and maintaining the building exterior while addressing guest maintenance requests.

Candidates should have 1 year of maintenance experience, a valid driver’s license, and be self-directed.

Qualifications

• 1 year in a maintenance role preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License
• Self-directed and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair malfunctioning electrical/mechanical systems and equipment.
• Review maintenance problems, complaints, and work orders to prioritize and schedule work assignments.
• Proactively inspect property to identify potential and current needs.
• Plan and execute on-going appropriate maintenance programs.
• Service the hotel’s pool, including adjusting chemicals and cleaning filters.
• Perform preventative maintenance assignments on a scheduled basis.
• Maintain the building exterior.
• Listen and respond to guests’ maintenance requests.
