Job summary

Shamin Hotels is seeking an Entry Level Hotel Engineer in Chester, VA to perform preventive and routine maintenance on building systems including HVAC and electrical. You will inspect, diagnose, and repair equipment, coordinate with maintenance staff, and ensure guest areas remain safe and functional.

The role emphasizes teamwork, ownership, and delivering warmth and hospitality to guests while upholding company standards and procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or technical schooling in hotel-related field preferred.
• Customer service skills and attention to detail required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on hotel facilities, including HVAC and electrical systems.
• Repair building components such as plumbing, doors, walls, and fixtures.
• Inspect equipment and report major issues to the General Manager.
• Coordinate maintenance tasks with staff and track completed work.
• Maintain safety procedures and keep accurate records of maintenance activities.
• Ensure hotel areas are clean, safe, and in good repair and assist guests as needed.
